OPEN CALL for NASTY WOMEN in IOWA, a group exhibition that serves to demonstrate solidarity among artists who identify with being a NASTY WOMAN in the face of threats to roll back women’s rights, individual rights, LGBTQ+ rights, refugee and immigrant rights.

This exhibition is a fundraiser. All art will be for sale during the closing reception (cash and carry) - 50% of the proceeds will benefit Planned Parenthood of Iowa and the additional 50% will go to the Emma Goldman Clinic.

Nasty Women in Iowa is part of NEAR FUTURE, an art-and-action-centered project of Public Space One. It is also part of a growing national and international response and ever-expanding network of Nasty Women Artists & Art Organizers that will culminate in multiple exhibitions across the globe. Nasty Women in Iowa is organized by Jen P Harris and Heidi Wiren Bartlett.
